OVERVIEW

JAE’s Waste-To-Energy solutions almost entirely eliminates the need to incinerate or bury MSW by converting refuse-derived material into bacteria free, high caloric value, fuel briquettes or pellets.

Innovation

Efficient waste conversion modules use a torrefaction, low heat burning process that extracts moisture from incoming municipal solid waste (MSW), destroys bacteria and endospores, and then extrudes that media into hard, high-caloric value, fuel briquettes and pellets. JAE's result is a cleaner burning, more efficient, and environmentally responsible fuel source.

The Challenge

Landfills are the antithesis of sustainability. The world continues to generate more and more solid municipal waste (MSW). According to a report by the World Bank, the planet produced 2.01 billion tons of waste in 2016

The Facts

The International Solid Waste Association reports that landfill sites currently contain approximately 40% of the world’s waste, and 50of the largest Landfill sites impact the daily lives of 64 million people, the equivalent of the entire population of France.

THE SOLUTION TO LAND FILLS

JAE’s efficient, eco-friendly waste-to-energy system can convert municipal solid waste into clean, green energy

Deployable & Efficient

Self-contained, modular, expandable units are placed on site and efficiently sort and separate valuable recyclable materials such as; Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET), plastics, glass, aluminum, heavy metals, film, and more. Our state-of-the-art processes yield some of the highest collection rates of these high-value recyclables, approximately 15%. The remaining waste is then used to produce briquettes.

Environmentally Conscious

Using a torrefaction, low heat burning process to extract moisture from the remaining MSW, JAE's system destroys the bacteria and endospores and then extrudes that media into hard, high caloric value, eco-friendly, Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) briquettes that have a BTU value of up to 10,600 joules. The result is a drastic reduction of waste ending up in landfills and a clean burning, more efficient, environmentally responsible fuel source.

Reduce or Replace

Based on a purchaser’s specific thermal output requirements, these RDF briquettes can be used in place of or blended with coal in many global energies and industrial production processes
